Fine craftsmanship includes a five step finishing process with hand sanding for a silky smooth finish. A top coat of clear catalyzed lacquer provides an extremely hard and durable finish. End and center panels are 1" thick red oak veneer plywood. 18-gauge steel shelves with ivory powder-coat paint finish are adjustable in 1-1/4" increments. Shelves are mounted on 5mm steel pins in holes drilled 32mm on center. Tops for 42"H, 48"H, and 60"H units feature a durable, high-pressure laminate surface. 72"H and 82"H unit tops are inverted so wood veneer is visible inside the shelving unit. All 72"H and 82"H units also include H-brace to prevent warping of end panels. All units include a slate gray MDF core melamine backs for improved stability and durability. All units have 12"D shelves. Base mounts are 3-1/2"H veneer core plywood.
